Three players, Annie Hasselmann ’15 of LJCD, Casey Castillo ’15 of SFC and Katherine Brouker ’15 of West Hills all played together in club volleyball.
And on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 they all signed their letter of intent to play volleyball at the next level in the same conference, the Big West Conference.
Each player talks about the recruiting process, playing in high school and playing at such a high level.
For the entire day 178 athletes appeared at the San Diego Hall of Champions for the Signing Day party. Sports signing during this first day of early signing included baseball, basketball, cross country, track & field, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball, girls water polo and wrestling.
Torrey Pines had the most signees with 17 while La Costa Canyon had 14. Baseball had the most athletes, 39, sign LOIs and volleyball had 29 athletes officially commit.
Well over $ 20 million worth of scholarships were officially accepted at the Hall of Champions.
Some schools like Cathedral had their own signing day party on campus.
